Who runs this service

ApplyWatch is operated by ApplyWatch operator. ApplyWatch is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the institutions listed.

What an account stores

• Sign-in details. Your email address and password are held by the Supabase Auth service behind this deployment. ApplyWatch’s own profile table stores neither: it holds no email address and no password.
• Applicant profile. Target degree level, citizenships, country of residence, intended intake month and year, field of study, timezone and preferred currency. You enter these during onboarding and can change them at any time.
• Watchlists. Which programmes you chose to monitor, and when you added them.
• Notification preference. Whether change emails are switched on, plus single-use tokens that make the unsubscribe link in those emails work.
• Classification results. Records of how the curated official rules applied to your profile for a programme, including the intake used, the resulting categories, the explanation shown to you and links to the official evidence.
• Update history. Which official change updates were surfaced to you and whether you marked them as read. If change emails are on, delivery bookkeeping (state, attempt count, error class and the provider’s message reference) is stored so a message is neither lost nor sent twice.

What this service does not collect

• No sensitive personal data. ApplyWatch does not ask for financial details, grades, test scores, health data, religion, ethnicity or similar attributes, and there are no fields to store them.
• No advertising or analytics trackers, and no third-party marketing pixels. The only cookies are the session cookies that keep you signed in.
• No social sign-in and no payment data. Authentication is email and password only, and the service takes no payments.

Who processes the data

• The Supabase project behind this deployment provides authentication, the database and its access rules. Your rows are readable only through your own authenticated session.
• The platform hosting these pages processes ordinary request data, such as IP addresses and timestamps, in its own operational logs.
• If change emails are enabled, the configured mail provider processes the recipient address and the message content for those emails.

Emails this service sends

Account emails (confirmation and password reset) are sent by the Supabase project behind this deployment. While that project uses Supabase’s built-in email service, delivery is rate limited and reaches only the project team’s own addresses. Wider delivery requires custom SMTP with a sending domain the operator controls.

Change emails about official updates are off unless you turn them on in your notification settings. Every such email carries a one-click unsubscribe link.

Where university information comes from

Programme, deadline, tuition, requirement and scholarship information is curated from publicly published official sources, and every fact is shown with a link to the official page it came from. Where an institution has not published something, ApplyWatch leaves it unresolved rather than filling the gap. Institutions do not supply this data to ApplyWatch and are not involved in this service.

Your choices

• Edit or correct your profile at any time from your account, and stop monitoring a programme by removing it from your watchlist.
• Turn change emails off in notification settings, or use the unsubscribe link in any change email.
• The app has no self-service account deletion yet. To ask for a copy of your data or for your account and its data to be deleted, write to the contact address below; deletion removes the profile, watchlists, classifications, update history and notification records tied to your account.
